Barbecuing at Pantai Bagan Lalang.

Pantai Bagan Lalang, Sepang,
20 February 2015.

I used to go to Pantai Cherating, Chendor, Geliga, Marina etc every weekend back in school days. However, since we moved to KL/Selangor about nine years ago, to be honest, this is my first time at Pantai Bagan Lalang in Sepang. So I was (or we were) a bit surprised to see sooooooo many people camping on the beach. Completely a different side of Selangor/Federal for me, at least.

Holiday and beach, such a great combo. Since it's Chinese New Year holiday this week, so my family decided to have a family activity together, something different, something new from we usually do. It was a perfect sunny weather, so we combined beach, BBQ (lamb yumms!), camping, and apparently sunburn too hmmm.

A lot of foods, sandwiches, lamb and chicken barbecues, fried mee hoon, potato salad, pulut with kelapa, potato salad, mushroom soup with garlic bread, various keropok and kerepek, you name it. And the kids love playing with the sand and sea water too. As the sky darkens, the tide has risen and reached the shore. We packed up our stuff and reached home at 8 p.m., felt completely sticky and sandy all over body and face. Yuck. Body scrubbbbbb!

P.s. I still prefer beaches on the east coast side. Less people, prettier, and much much cleaner. Duhh, obviously.

Last bits of memory from Germany.

So my last five boxes shipped from Germany have arrived today. And somehow I feel happy and sad at the same time. Since I keep most of my clothes in the boxes to reduce weight of my luggages to give more space for souvenirs (17 kilos! and only 13 kilos for my stuff including clothes sobs), I am happy to get all my clothes now, though not many suited Malaysia's hot weather. Pfft.

But I feel rather sad.. that I am all here, I mean.. my stuff, myself, not related to Germany anymore. The feelings that make me feel it's impossible to get back to Germany any longer.

However, the kids were so excited to see my boxes and expected to receive more souvenirs from their Aunt. Lucky that I kept some more for them in one of the boxes!

P.s. And the only thing that keep my heart in Germany.. is him ;)

Featured in JOM Magazine.

Hello peeps! The Editor of JOM Magazine stumbled upon my website a few months ago and asked for permission to publish some photos from my blogspot. FYI, JOM Magazine is the first and only Malaysian community magazine in Australia.

And here I received a hardcopy of the magazine, with my name written at the second last line in this page, if you can see it. A very tiny one thou hahaa.

And the photo was taken from this entry. Guess which one is the photo? hehee

But the sweetest thing I received this morning is definitely this sweet message made of chocolates. Thanks baby! You can now eat all the chocolates while I eat mine (well basically the chocolates you gave to me last time. Almost out of it already!)

P.s. And be ready for my surprise, it will come soon, VERY SOON!

In Chiang Mai.

Chiang Mai, Thailand,
31 January - 2 February 2015.

It was a veeeeery last minute decision, when my brother offered me to come with him and SIL to Chiang Mai. Checked the schedule for flight in the morning, unfortunately direct flight to Chiang Mai was no longer avail. The only available flight was Thai Airways, KL-Bangkok-Chiang Mai. After 30 minutes, my flight tickets were booked and paid.

Well, well, well. My very first time in Thailand!

Day one.

I, alone, arrived at Chiang Mai Airport around 2 p.m. and directly to Le Meridien hotel as my SIL was waiting for me while my brother had meeting. In the evening, my SIL and I walked to Art in Paradise Museum with interesting 3D paints were exhibited here (like what we have at I-City Shah Alam).

Chiang Mai from the hotel.
I was in Venice. Nahh
I 'LOVE' you. You know who you are hehee :D

Day two.

On the next day we walked through Night Bazaar at night since not many shops were operated before 6 p.m. Sigh.

But we managed to buy a lot of Thai scarves, since I've been complaining have no suitable scarf to wear for hot climate hahaa. No I'm serious.

Day three.

On our last day in Chiang Mai, we followed the trip arranged for my brother and his colleagues to Bhubing Palace and Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, one of among the important temples here. Yes, my #misimencariistana!

The royal winter residence is located about one hour from the hotel, with temperature 17C that day. The palace was built in 1961 to accommodate the royal family during state visits to the north of the country.

Garden of Roses as big as human face.
Ruen Peek Mai (Log cabin), seasonal residence of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn and also the royal guesthouse.
Ruen Rab Rong, a royal guesthouse.
The Bhubing Palace. Unfortunately the palace was under renovation during my visit! Credit photo: wikipedia
Water Reservoir with musical fountain called 'The Fountain of Celestial Water of People'.

A must see, on any visit to Chiang Mai, is the wondrous and holy temple of Wat Phra That which is located near the top of Doi Suthep (Mount Suthep).

After the visit, we went to eat the famous Mango Sticky Rice before check out the hotel.

P.s. A huge thanks to my brother for sponsoring this trip. Next time jangan lupe ajak lagi ehh hehehee
