Assalamualaikum, peeps! I hope it is still not too late to wish you Selamat Hari Raya, maaf zahir dan batin!
We had a Raya photoshoot at Killersbergpark and Schlossplatz a day before raya, yea, under the hot sunny day while fasting. Gigih kan??
Despite the emptiness of celebrating raya 6170 miles away from family, balik kampung (I don't have kampung actually hehee) etc, we did celebrate and create the same feelings of raya celebration among us. On malam raya, except for serunding (brought from Malaysia), with some other Malaysians, we've prepared rendang ayam, rendang daging, ayam masak merah, ketupat nasi, lemang (instant lemang, im so impressed they have this nowadays!), sate, kuah kacang, masak lodeh and a few types of kuih raya prepared in advance) and red velvet as Farah's birthday cake hehee.
Went to the mosque with khutbah in Arabic which I couldn't understand, wore baju raya for the whole day, we couldn't avoid people were looking twice. It was quite awkward to walk around wearing it, but later felt happy when I saw more people were wearing nice clothes heading to the mosque and gave salam 'Assalamualaikum'. We celebrated raya and birthday, bersalaman dan bermaafan (but no duit raya hihii), visited Malaysian family and Singaporean friend nearby, and received a visit from Indonesian friends until late night. This is our first Aidilfitri celebration in Germany, and we had great fun.
P.s. Panas, dehydrated. Thank god the photos turned out lovely, walaupun balik kaki berbelang bentuk kasut. Dah tak cukup nak belang kat muka, belang kat kaki pulak!
P.s.s. My rupa kek for Farah. Ok laa kena improve banyak lagiiii. Happy birthday Parahhhhh
