The Hague, Netherlands,
2 - 4 May, 2014.
After Keukenhof, on the same day, we left Amsterdam and went to The Hague city, took 20 minutes journey from the Schiphol Airport by train. To our next destination in the list, Madurodam - Holland in miniature!
Madurodam is a miniature park and tourist attraction, home model replicas of famous Dutch castles, public buildings, and large industrial projects as found at various locations in the country. It is said that no visit to the Netherlands is complete without taking in Madurodam on the outskirts of The Hague. Miss out anything else and it won't matter because you'll find it here, albeit on a scale of 1:25.
Those miniatures looked so cute and so real! Even the ships, the boats, the trains, the airplanes were all moving for real!
|Tried the Dutch traditional pancake. yummeh!|
So after finished touring the Madurodam, we went back to Schiphol Airport and only later decided to go to Amsterdam once again because it was only 6 p.m., still early to go back to the hotel. In Amsterdam we bought souvenirs for the last time and had dinner.
At night we had vanilla tarts and chocolate muffins that we bought at KFC in front of the hotel for dessert, while watching tv, then packed our stuff for early morning flight back to Germany. Party buih beramai-ramai tak sempat nak buat! Hahaa
At 6 a.m., we checked out the hotel and took the earliest bus to the airport.
|while waiting for the bus. Menyempat je kann|
And guess what, when we arrived at the airport, not so many people at the 'I Amsterdam' sign. Berlari kitorang nak ambik gambar kat situ!
Our flight was delayed to 8.35 a.m. We arrived at Frankfurt Airport at 9.30 a.m. and we were starving, ada ke patut kasi sandwich ada ham! I was planning to leave those sandwiches in the train so that poor, starving passengers can have it, kononnya wanna do random good deed to random people la. Siap tulis notes lagi. Tapi ada pulak pakcik depan duk tengok2. Last-last bagi je semua kat makcik sebelah. Heol.
As soon as we arrived, we went to Thai restaurant that we usually go if we are in Frankfurt, but it was closed. Danngggg hari Ahad plak! Last-last Turkish dishes lagi. Apa-apa je la, janji kenyang.
From Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof, we took the train back to Stuttgart and enjoyed the scenic view of Springgggg!
Overall, it was a nice trip to Netherlands, though I don't really like crowded places like Amsterdam, I had great time and enjoyed Keukenhof soooooo much! In 3 days, or to be specific in one day and a half that we had, we went to all destinations and main attractions that we decided to visit. Checked!
But I was kinda regret that I just realized later, Belgium is so close and I could have take another train for day trip to Brussels, perhaps Luxembourg too. I wish I had another day to spend there. Sigh.
Hasil ngopi malam-malam, finished with 3 Netherlands entries in one day. That's all for now. Till my next trip, bye!
P.s. the Dutch people seem quite fascinated with our way taking photos, using monopod. Even there were some people taking our photo while using it. Jangan masuk 9gag sudehh, masak ktorang nak jawab dengan UiTM dengan KPT nanti. LOL
